So, you’re ready to give your tub, sink, or shower a fresh new look with Ekopel; but what exactly comes in the kit? In this post, we’re breaking it all down for you: what’s included, how it’s pre-measured for convenience, and what you can expect when you open the box. Think of it as your behind-the-scenes peek before the transformation begins!
Here’s exactly what you’ll find (and what else you’ll need to have ready before you start):
Pour-On Kit
Our pour-on method creates that glossy, self-leveling finish Ekopel is known for.
When you order a pour-on kit, you’ll receive:
-
Part A (Base) – pre-measured for easy mixing, this is typically less than half full
-
Part B (Activator) – pre-measured to ensure the perfect ratio
-
Roller and Roller Handle – to guide and smooth the coating after pouring
-
Scooper – printed right on the box for clean and accurate scooping
Here in the warehouse, all parts are pre-measured for your convenience, so there’s no guesswork or waste; just mix and go.
You’ll need to have on hand:
-
Razor Blade
-
Masking Tape
-
All purpose Soft Scrub cleaner
-
Drop cloths/masking paper
-
Gloves and paper towels (for cleanup)
-
Optional: heat gun/hair dryer to remove any bubbles during dry time
-
100-220 grit sandpaper
Roll-On Kit
If you prefer a more controlled application; for smaller areas, vertical sections, or are newer to DIY projects, the roll-on kit is the way to go.
In your roll-on kit, you’ll receive:
-
2 Ekopel Part A
-
2 Ekopel Part B
-
Mixing Sticks
That’s it, no rollers included in this kit.
You’ll need to purchase separately:
-
High-density foam rollers (we recommend a multipack to switch them out during the process)
-
A paint tray
-
Masking tape and masking paper
-
All purpose Soft Scrub cleaner
-
100-220 grit sandpaper
Why We Keep It Simple
We know many DIYers already have supplies at home, so instead of adding unnecessary items, we focus on shipping the highest-quality refinishing material, pre-measured and ready to use. This approach keeps waste and costs down while letting you choose the tools you’re most comfortable with.
Two Methods, One Formula
Whether you’re pouring or rolling, both kits use the same durable, self-leveling Ekopel 2K coating. All material comes pre-measured for convenience, so you can focus on applying and achieving professional results, not measuring and guessing. Please be sure to follow our detailed written instructions and reach out to us if you have any questions!
